WRITER | EDITOR | storyteller
I currently live, work and write in the great state of Texas, but am originally from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I moved to San Antonio to attend Trinity University, where I graduated with a bachelor of arts in communication and specialized in magazine journalism.
Today, I freelance for local and national publications, while also working full time as an editor for Southwest Airlines' in-flight magazine.
My other interests include exploring the outdoors and traveling. I have been to 25 countries, my favorite of which are India and Nicaragua. Still, I consider my true "abroad" experience to be the summer I spent in New York City with the American Society of Magazine Editors' (ASME) internship program. While there, I grew as an editorial intern at Field & Stream magazine, sampling pigeon pizza, working alongside spring bok mounts and learning to truly appreciate a different perspective.
With previous experience in print and digital journalism, graphic design, public relations and event planning, I am looking to build upon these skills and gain insight into other areas.
Thank you for visiting my site. I hope you decide to stay awhile.
